Bobi Wine grateful to the US for banning CMI boss Abel Kandiho

National Unity Platform president Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has come out to appreciate the US after it imposed financial restrictions and a travel ban on CMI chief, Abel Kandiho.

UPDF spokesperson Brig Flavia Byekwaso came out in statement to express government and UPDF’s disappointment in this move by the USA.

Byekwaso said that it was absurd that the US came to this conclusion without providing space for the concerned party to give part of their story.

She added that it was more disappointing because they considered the US as an ally and friend.

The UPDF spokesperson however said that they are going to engage the concerned parties to see a way forward.

On learning the news, Kyagulanyi however says that this move is highly welcome.

The former Kyadondo east MP further says that Kandiho has carried out gross violation of human rights under the watch of his boss, President Museveni.

Kyagulanyi adds that this is just a step in the right direction to overthrow the ‘dictator.’

The singer turned politician also adds that this a clear indication that all security organs that have been working on the orders of Gen Museveni will have to account for the atrocities done l onto the people when they are finally out of power.

Kandiho joins a list of some high ranking government officials who have received travel bans and financial restrictions such as former IGP Kale Kayihura.
