Security Forces Arrest Leader Of Terror Squad

Security forces led by JATT and the CMI have arrested a one Muwonge Yusuf who is suspected to be a close associate of Matovu Muzafaru of the Swift Bus bomb incident in Mpigi a few days ago.

Muwonge Yusuf is also suspected to have a left a bomb in Kireka Bira Nakabogo parish in Wakiso district at a friend’s home a one Kamoga Umar who was also shortly arrested by Police.

Muwonge had on a number of occasions evaded arrest in numerous operations that led to the capture of his allies while another was killed during the incident.

According to Police, it’s good news that he was arrested alive because he will help them to apprehending the entire gang that has been brewing up insecurity in the country in the previous months.

His arrest comes at a time when there have been bomb threats and blasts in Uganda especially the capital, Kampala

Gen Museveni a few days ago while addressing this situation said that these were being fuelled by the ADF who have their operating base in DRC.

Ever since the bomb scare in Komamboga a suburb of Kampala, CMI and other intelligence agencies have been pulling off a number of intelligence led missions that are proving to be fruitful in arresting and controlling the situation.
