The Uganda Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah came out during a mass service at Rubaga Cathedral to urge people to support the government in power if they are to benefit from it.
Nabbanja said that there is no way people can benefit from a government they don’t support.
According to the PM, the government cannot make a mistake of investing it’s resources in communities that are against it.
Therefore people in such communities should think twice and make peace with the government if they are to benefit.
“If you want to benefit from the government, you have to support it because a government cannot invest it’s resources in communities that are against it,” Nabbanja said.
Nabbanja also used the opportunity to make it clear that Uganda is a fully democratic country that has timely elections every after 5 years.
Her comments came after South Africa based Bishop John Kizito of Aliwal Diocese told the congregation at Rubaga that there is no democracy in Uganda and thus the leaders need to borrow a lesson from South Africa.
Nabbanja meanwhile donated Ugx 50m shillings to the Kampala diocese in it’s development endeavors.
