Unvaccinated MPs won’t access Parliament anymore

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Among Anita has passed an order to all MPs to present their COVID 19 vaccination certificates before being allowed to enter Parliament starting next week.

Hon Among says that leaders should act as an example to the rest of the country in the battle against COVID 19.

This is because most people are influenced by the decisions of their leaders.

She added that Security at Parliament has already been briefed about this matter with orders to block whoever does not present his or her certificate from accessing the parliamentary premises.

Her words come at a time when there is mass vaccination going on across the country.

The turn up is however low and this has made it difficult for the Ministry of Health to meet it’s targets especially in the rural areas.
