Video: Allan Ssewanyana Abducted, Kiiza Besigye and Bobi Wine call upon Ugandans to Protest

Yesterday a video made it’s way on social media platforms showing how Makindye west MP Allan Ssewanyana was ganged up by armed men traveling in the infamous drone cars and kidnapped.

The legislator was making his way out of the Kigo prison gates where he has spent more than a fortnight.

This followed his arrest together with Kawempe North MP Muhammad Ssegirinya on several charges especially being the master minds of the recent Masaka killings.

The two were accorded bail on Monday this week by the Masaka High Court but security forces declined to release them immediately.

Ssegirinya had more charges placed on him of holding unlawful protests against the Electoral Commission which he demanded to declare NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu as the duly elected president of Uganda instead of Museveni.

The Security forces freed Ssewanyana but hardly had he felt the fresh air of the free world than he was rounded up into a drone to unknown destination.

This saw former FDC president Kiiza Besigye come out to criticize the regime and security forces.

Besigye proceeded to say that this level of impunity requires all Ugandans to rise up and protest the high levels of Injustice meted out on different Ugandans irrespective of their calibre.

“This outrageous abuse of rights and the violation of the rule of law, with impunity calls on every Ugandan to protest and resist this NRM/M7 Junta rule. Today it’s Allan; tomorrow, it’ll be you!” Besigye tweeted.

Today morning 24th September 2021 NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine also addressed the same issue saying that Hon Ssewanyana’s kidnap only shows what happens to most Ugandans in the dark.

The former presidential candidate then added that it was not long ago before “Dictator Museveni” came out to give a camouflaging security update.

Kyagulanyi proceeded to heed to Besigye’s call of calling upon Ugandans to protest against this worrying security state.

For now Ssewanyana’s whereabouts are unknown.
