President Museveni meets with families affected by the Masaka murders

President Museveni yesterday 8th September 2021 met up with the affected families of the infamous Masaka murders at the State House, Nakaseero.

The President issued a strong statement to all the culprits who have been carrying out these atrocities.

Mr Museveni said some have been arrested and those who are still on the run will be arrested soon and face it rough.

“I met & commiserated with families that lost relatives in the senseless attacks by the cowardly pigs being called the Bijambiya gang. Some have been arrested because they left all sorts of clues that we are following. The message to these cowards is that we shall get all of you.” The President tweeted.

The situation has some how calmed down in the area after heavy deployment of security in the area..

The number of murders had risen to 27 but for a week now no murder has been reported.

Meanwhile two opposition Mps belonging to NUP, Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya were arrested in relation to the murders.

It was a shock to everyone but Police pointed out that the suspects arrested all pinned the two MPS as the masterminds behind the massacres.

It’s waited to see how the court proceedings will unfold as they were sent to Kitalya Prison and ordered to return to court on 15th September 2021.

Meanwhile the government announced that a condolence fee of about Shs. 10M will he disbursed to the affected families.
