President Museveni shares first alcohol experience – it’s bitter like mululuuza

President Museveni yesterday 31st August 2021 gave out an insight into his first alcohol experience which he says wasn’t plausible.

The President made the comments while passing out prison cadet officers at Kololo Independence Grounds.

Gen Museveni said that he was convinced by a friend of his who told him that the drink was sweet.

Mr Museveni however says that the moment he tasted the sour drink, he didn’t like it from thereon and has never tasted it again.

“I had never tasted alcohol before then one of my friends convinced me to. I tried beer; it’s so bitter like ‘omululuza’ (bitter leaf). I asked why they were drinking it, he told me ‘you’ll know the sweetness later. I also tried Johnnie Walker and it was like fire.”Museveni said.

He also wondered what the drink that burned his tongue could do to his internal organs such as the liver and kidney.

Mr Museveni has constantly shown his disapproval and distaste of people taking alcohol and has always advised people to stay away from it and eat healthy foods.

When it comes to opening bars, the President has always laughed it off saying these people are careless and would spread the disease to themselves in no time.

He also took off some time to talk about the Masaka murders saying that these ‘pigs’ as he usually refers to murderers will soon be brought to book.

President Museveni said that there is no force either militarily or politically that can bring the NRM government down and therefore all those plotting these activities are in self-deception.

He said that these work under the influence of marijuana killing old people but soon they will be put to book.
